Salud! At Home Bar

You don’t always have to leave home to enjoy a cocktail in a classy, chic setting. An elegant, trendy bar can be created right at home.

JCL Staging & Design gives tips on how to decorate a space dedicated specifically for your happy hour at home. Whether you simply want to unwind after a long day or entertain guests, these are the perfect ways to set the tone at home. Invite that special someone or your friends to enter an area that feels as though you ventured out to a fancy bar, but it’s in the comfort of your own place.

TIP 1: Bar on Wheels

If you’re limited on space, opt in for a mobile bar that you can use in any room. It’s a great way to tap into your mood to find exactly the right spot you want to enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail on any specific day. For example, it’s a beautiful Saturday, you’re off of work for the weekend and prefer to take your drink outside. Roll that moveable bar right outside next to some comfortable seating and bam, you’ve created an outdoor bar to lay back, enjoy, and let the worries of the world melt away. If it’s during the colder season, maybe having a drink by the fireplace or in a warm cozy candlelit room is more the speed you desire. With a mobile bar, the options are endless.

TIP 2: Garden Bar

If you have the luxury of having ample outdoor space to house your at-home bar, why not opt in for a garden bar. It’s fun and you can stand in the center playing the role of a friendly bartender to entertain your guests. If enjoying a cocktail solo, you can kick back on a stool and enjoy the convenience that a garden bar offers. Put your style into it by adding lights around the edge of the bar, or above, or both. And find some trendy stools to bring it to life. You can even display some beautiful flowers as your liquor can be stored out of sight. Let your imagination go wild!

TIP 3: Balcony Bar

Who needs to go to a rooftop bar in the city when they have their very own balcony bar? It’s simple, chic, and doesn’t eat up your space. It brings amazing views to life and gives a classy feel to the room, inviting any guests to enjoy a cup of tea, or a cocktail along with good conversation can make for the perfect afternoon. This multifunctional bar can also serve as the perfect workspace. The view is the icing on the cake and even if you don’t have a view to die for, you can use this simple design in front of any area where sunlight floods in.

TIP 4: Pallet Rack At-Home Bar

If you’re thinking of combining your at-home bar with a staple room in your home, there’s an easy DIY option with a pallet rack. Let’s say there’s an area of your kitchen that can be sectioned off to house your liquor options, simply hang some pallet racks on the wall, store and display your drinks, and hang your glasses from the bottom. It looks fabulous and inviting without taking up too much space. This also allows the eye to go up while giving the optical illusion the ceilings are high. Complete the design by adding a modern cabinet to your rustic racks to give it a slick mixed design.
